About JEE.co.in

JEE.co.in exists to make information about the Joint Entrance Examination easier to understand for the people who need it most: students preparing for the exam and the parents supporting them.

What this website does

Information about JEE is scattered across official bulletins, brochures, counselling business rules and countless discussion threads. Official documents are accurate but long and formal, and informal sources are readable but often out of date. We try to sit in between: plain explanations of how JEE Main and JEE Advanced work, what each exam is used for, what the syllabus and exam pattern involve and how to approach preparation — with a clear pointer to the official source whenever the detail can change from year to year.

We are independent

JEE.co.in is an independent educational information website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the National Testing Agency, the Indian Institutes of Technology, the Joint Seat Allocation Authority, the Ministry of Education or any government body. Nothing on this site is an official announcement, and we cannot act on your application, eligibility or result in any way.

How we write our pages

  • We describe structures and concepts — how a paper is organised, what an eligibility condition means — rather than repeating year-specific numbers that go stale.
  • Where a fact depends on the examination year, we say so and point you to the official document instead of guessing.
  • We do not publish exam dates, fees or cut-offs as if they were confirmed by us.
  • We link to official sources so you can check anything you read here at its origin.
  • We correct pages when readers tell us something is unclear or has changed.

Always check the official sources

For anything that affects a decision — registering, choosing a paper, taking a gap year, filling counselling choices — use the official websites:
